The Pulp and Paper Institute (ICP) is a research and developmental institution of the Slovenian pulp, paper and paper converting industry. The institute's basic mission is to satisfy the specific needs of its business partners in the areas of research, transfer of knowledge and education in order to increase long-term competitiveness.

By orienting its scientific and research activities towards key technological areas as well as cooperating with other similar institutions on international level, ICP provides its partners with new sources of knowledge and enables easier access to new technologies.

As a leading center of knowledge of this kind in Slovenia, ICP helps promote the branch within the wider community. It cooperates with the University in Ljubljana by regular and postgraduate education and offers support and consulting to other enterprises and institutions.
